Pitch Deck + Business Plan
The following are descriptions of representative projects in which an investor PITCH DECK was prepared, along with a BUSINESS PLAN.
Hoozip (big data provider)
A business plan and pitch deck for a Big Data tech company looking to raise a $1 million Angel/Seed round - $5 million pre-money valuation, no revenue.
Before this plan and deck could be completed, a major investor entered the picture and new and additional funding was no longer required. The investor acquired the related technology.
Bloom Associates (medical finance)
A financial intermediary doing medical receivables financing. A debt and equity raise.
The sponsor of this project, Bloom, already worked for a company in the medical receivables financing area and wanted to strike out on his own.
The nature of the financing market was focused on collecting from insurance companies and the average timeframe (from receivables purchase to recovery) was 18 months.
Bruce Birkett Associates, along with Bloom, came up with the strategy to offer investors the opportunity to stage their investment into the company itself (equity shares); and then, to invest in high-yielding short-term credit instruments with an 18-month maturity (debt notes).
In testing the investor interest, the client decided to stay with his existing employer.
ALA (Andrade Los Angeles) (a local real estate developer)
This was a business plan for a start-up real estate developer doing largely infill projects.
The company needed start-up funding and the plan included three (3) funding vehicles.
There have been a number of different versions of this plan as the company has evolved. This represents an initial (early) version and the related investor pitch deck.
ZenT (a nutraceutical beverage)
This was a business plan for a functional beverage start-up. It was done as a series of PowerPoint decks.
The Client had previously done a similar beverage start-up, TAO, with 120 million euros in annual sales .
