This investor package was put together in 2008 by the executive team of The Biomass Corporation, Limited and Bruce Birkett Associates (BBA). Bruce Birkett was a senior member of this team. The company would include a large number of operating entities (plantations, laboratories and manufacturing facilities) in South Africa and other southern African countries. There was significant poverty upliftment component.

 

The business required the related torrefaction technology provider partner to validate that they could scale-up their technology to be commercially viable. This did not happen. As a result, there was no investor funding.
